Today is my one year back clean and sober in AA. I had 19 years, but relapsed over a prescription medication for about four months. Right after my wife left me, I realized that I hadn't been truly sober for several months, so I reset my sobriety date right after what would have been my 20th birthday.
And so it goes.

Keep it up sir. Loving and taking care of ourselves is the best thing we can do. :) No one can do it better.
20 years is a great record my friend. Sobriety is not for sissies and a traumatic slip is only human. Congratulations! You are coming out of a horrendous year or so and we wish you the best. peace, MandT
